Raquel Smidt

Raquel Smidt is an architect with a strong focus on BIM implementation and technology in the design and construction processes.

She founded IMA BIM in 2015 and Eixo in 2018 to advance technology use and methodology development in architecture.

Raquel's expertise lies in BIM Implementation, Training, Archicad templates creation, and teaching methodologies for BIM implementation.

She has a background in Architectural Design, Systems Compatibility, and Project Management, with experience in various architectural offices in Brazil.

As an Archicad Certified Trainer and Certifier of New Trainers at Graphisoft Brazil, Raquel has significantly contributed to BIM development and education.

She is also a professor at Federal Technological University of Paraná (UTFPR) and Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul (PUC-RS), imparting knowledge on BIM methodologies.

Raquel's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Architecture and Urbanism from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul and a specialization in Master BIM - Coordination and Management.

She has been associated with various prestigious organizations such as PUCRS, Eixo, Universidade Tecnológica Federal do Paraná, and Pedro Gabriel & Bonini Arquitetura (Pgba) in roles ranging from BIM Manager to Founder and BIM Consultant.

Throughout her career, Raquel has demonstrated a commitment to advancing architectural processes through technology, education, and methodology development.
