Ranel Padon

Ranel Padon is an accomplished professional who has built a strong educational background and a wealth of experience in the fields of computer science, geodetic engineering, and software development. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Geodetic Engineering and pursued further studies culminating in a Master of Science in Computer Science with a focus on Machine Learning and Data Mining at the University of the Philippines. In his academic journey, Ranel excelled in his studies and was a Valedictorian both in high school at Palawan College of Arts and Trades and in grade school at Cuyo Central School.

Ranel has held various roles in prestigious organizations, showcasing his expertise and versatility in the tech industry. Currently, he serves as a Full-Stack Django Engineer at Magnetic Asia Ltd, where he leverages his skills to contribute to dynamic projects. His previous roles include being a Faculty Member at the University of the Philippines, a Freelance Drupal Developer and GIS Consultant at CCGA Real Estate Services and Advisory, a Web GIS Consultant at SRDP Consulting, Inc., a Software Engineer at Kite Systems, and a Lead Web Developer at RIO Environmental Management and Development Services. Ranel has also been involved in research and academic positions such as a Research Associate focusing on Python and GIS programming at the University of the Philippines and as an Assistant Project Component Leader leading Java programming efforts.
