Randy Hicks

Randy D. Hicks, MD, MBA, is the Owner and CEO of Regional Medical Imaging (RMI), a prominent imaging service provider based in Michigan. He has a distinguished background in radiology, particularly in women's imaging, and is recognized for his contributions to breast cancer detection and treatment.

Education and Professional Background

Dr. Hicks graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Human Medicine and completed his residency in diagnostic radiology at Michigan State University Affiliated Hospitals, where he also served as Chief Resident. He is board-certified by the American Board of Radiology and holds an MBA from the Eli Broad Graduate School of Management at Michigan State University.124

Contributions and Leadership

Under Dr. Hicks's leadership, RMI has expanded significantly, operating nine branches in the Genesee, Oakland, and Wayne Counties, and employing around 250 staff members. He has been instrumental in integrating advanced imaging technologies and improving patient care through innovative practices, including the implementation of a new PACS system for breast imaging workflows.34

Dr. Hicks is also actively involved in the community, supporting various health initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing women's healthcare. He serves on the Board of Directors for several organizations, including the Michigan State Radiological Society and Fentura Financial, where he chairs the Finance Committee.154

Personal Interests

In addition to his professional commitments, Dr. Hicks is a maple syrup farmer and enjoys spending time outdoors, particularly at his home on Torch Lake.4 He emphasizes a family-oriented approach in his business philosophy, aiming to treat patients with the same care and respect he would want for his own family.4
