In my brief time as Treasurer, (Closing in on 2 years), I have taken over responsibilities such as the banking and bill payments, keeping the accounts up to date with regular bookkeeping tasks like reconciling the bank account monthly and filing the company's taxes each year. 

As a Non-profit Registered Charity, taxes can be a little different than other corporations. As can be the banking allowances. Due to this, I had to figure out how to alleviate some of the pressures by changing our signing authorities and the way we bank in general. By activating E-Transfers and Pre-authorized payments it has allowed the company to function more efficiently.

By moving from a manual entry spreadsheet software for accounting, to a cloud-based system designed for such tasks, transferring the responsibilities to the next treasurer will be able to happen with more ease of transition. We now also utilize our PayPal account to accept donations.

Other responsibilities include preparation for the Annual General Meeting as well as Quarterly Board of Director meetings where the treasurer is required to present financial statements and/or budget projections. 

The Treasurer may also take an active role in Marketing within the Board, as everything is subject to budget restrictions and costing efficiency. Along with Marketing, the Treasurer may be involved in business planning, programming and possible writing for grants and fundraising.  This adds value when it comes to costs and pricing resources. 

Within the Operational Board structure, the Treasurer may also bring forward ideas for investment, both financial based as well as within the broader community.  As a Non-Profit Charity building relationships and networks with similar organizations can be seen "Investing in the Community" in order to bring Awareness & Solidarity.

As we continued to grow into a fully operational Recording company, Record Label & Media Production company, we only saw it fit to expand in a way that would allow for future growth.
 
Rebranding Our Entertainment arm to: 

Third World Council Media Entertainment Group & Artist Collective is to incorporate all aspects of our current and future growth in the industry. Including everything from Recorded Audio, Music Videos and Film production, Music & Book Publishing, Public/Motivational speaking, Visual arts & Hand-made Arts/crafts, and podcasting capabilities to name a few.
 
Third World Council Media Entertainment Group & Artist Collective is a fully functioning recording facility in the Greater Toronto Area & Southwestern Ontario, for the most part, However we welcome collaboration from all over the globe, especially while we represent, embrace and Acknowledge our Indigenous perspective and a “Third World” Lense.
 
Our Visual media department has been operational in three countries on two continents, now in its 20th year of operation has released multiple projects and continues to create and stockpile footage and catalogue product.
 
Our output has been steady with a goal of longevity and consistency. With the advent and adoption of digital media and Internet resources has significantly reduced costs and improved efficiency. We now have music on all digital streaming platforms, and videos as such as well. Books are currently available for Print on Demand or E-book, via Amazon. All books are registered with the Library & Archives of Canada (ISBN Canada).

Third World Council -Native America, In support of #IdleNoMore, purchased in a domain auction:  www.idlenomore.info - the site currently rebuilding after a server crash. We aim to educate people about the movements and provide support in solidarity to other social justice movements in our current time.     
Third World Council - Native America will be the home of a future clothing line designed to help raise money, in a Not-For-Profit way.
  
With an Indigenous perspective, we hope to raise awareness to Communities Inside The Americas as well as around the globe living in Third World Conditions. 

Third World Council - Native America is Home to our Youth Oriented, Musically based Deterrent Program.  Designed to reach out to troubled youth, both in the community and within the justice system and give them a way back, a new focus, and hope for something positive for life in general.

Youths will be either, developed as artists and taught from there, or can be taken on as interns to learn the ins and outs of the business in various ways, depending on their initial interests, as well as their on-going commitment. 

We have been working with our first client for several years.  Although he had graduated into the adult prison system, we had some time during his house arrest to get things rolling, and since Sentencing he has made great progress, and shown a growing interest in getting involved post-release. 

The aim is to provide guidance, especially in the aftercare space, where virtually nothing exists. The Hope and ultimately the end goal to not only reduce recidivist activity, but also allow them a place to reintegrate productively with on going outreach and communication.

Freeze Flame Productions Inc.  was established in 1995, began operations as a Recording Artist Management Company, in 2003, using the name: Red Brown Entertainment.
 
After help from an upcoming artist, at the time, life was given, and we decided to Incorporate in 2006.
 
Since, Freeze Flame Productions Inc, has grown and blossomed from a simple idea with a vision, into a Fully operational Record Label, Media Production Company, and Financial Services company, and most recently as a Publisher.
  
Providing a place for Our current roster of talent, as well as a place for clientele to come work on their craft in a quality facility.  At reasonable rates, as well as negotiable costs depending on what your needs are.  We can be completive in terms of pricing.
  
As a registered Company/Record company we are also a Registered Music Publisher with SOCAN(Canada)/ASCAP(USA).

MANAGING DIRECTOR

This is a personal business that began as a school project and evolved into a Part-Time job.  Managing a variety of artists from different backgrounds and Disciplines.  It began with 1 artist, and slowly built into a small group, and as each moved on, I was introduced to others that needed advice and guidance.  Ranging from music styles of Hip Hop to Country Gospel & Singer/Song Writers, as well as other realms of artistic talent like Painters and Make-Up Artists.

The Company moved with me across the country(CANADA).  As it grew I had a new vision, and in 2006 I decided to incorporate and expand a bit, bringing in a business partner, writing  a business plan, and start building a recording studio.
