His previous roles also include serving as a Legislative Analyst for Energy at The Hawai'i State Senate, Office of Senator Glenn Wakai, and engaging in consultancy work related to energy storage and renewables strategy at firms like Strategen Consulting.

Fish has additionally contributed as a Policy Manager at California Energy Storage Alliance (CESA) and as a Program Director at Energy Storage North America (ESNA) at Strategen Consulting.

Prior to his consultancy roles, Fish spearheaded environmental initiatives as General Manager at Clean Islands International and as an Environmental Extension Agent with the Peace Corps.

His early professional experiences include work as an Intern in GIS & Water Programs at Marinette County Land and Water Conservation and as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Michigan Technological University.
