Ramendra Ray is a seasoned banking professional with a wealth of experience in various areas such as general banking, electronic banking, advance, credit management, NPA management, surveillance, investigation, audit, and recovery management.

His educational background includes a Higher Secondary education in Science from Dinhata High School in Cooch Behar, CAIIB Part 1 in Finance and Financial Management Services from the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance, a training program in Micro Finance for SBI Officers from the Indian Institute of Bank Management in Guwahati, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Economics from Dinhata College in Cooch Behar.

Ramendra Ray has held several key positions at State Bank of India, including roles as Assistant General Manager, Chief Manager, Manager, Branch Manager, Accountant, Field Officer, Officer In Charge, Dealer, Dealing Official, and Probationary Officer. He retired as an Assistant General Manager on January 31, 2017.

In addition to his extensive tenure at State Bank of India, he also served as a Management Trainee at Punjab National Bank and as a Preventive Officer and Inspector Of Customs at the Customs & Central Excise Department under the Ministry of Finance, Government of India.
