At Tesla, I develop Data Analytics and Optimization capabilities to advance economic analysis and improve control algorithms for new energy products. I have directed the development of computational platforms utilizing methods from Machine Learning, Statistics and Time Series analysis. 

These platforms have enabled sales, design and operation of home energy systems with solar, batteries, water heaters and smart thermostats.

My research at NEC Labs has focused on developing algorithms for modeling and management of power consumption in buildings and microgrids. 

I developed valuable IP and implemented algorithms to efficiently operate energy storage (with solar) and HVAC systems. I also built a forecasting engine to determine day-ahead prices and bidding strategies to participate and generate revenue in electricity markets such as capacity and frequency regulation.

Provided expert consultation to the X Prize technical operations team: to analyze and visualize vehicle data from on-board data acquisition systems in conventional, hybrid and electric automotive powertrains that was crucial to outcome of the $10M Automotive X prize.

My work at Michigan focused on battery sizing and control of alternative vehicle powertrains such as in Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (PHEV). This research was funded through the NSF - Emerging Frontiers in Research and Innovation (EFRI) project.
