Rakesh Lakhani, O.D.

Dr. Rakesh Lakhani is the owner and lead optometrist at Lakhani Vision Care, PC, located in Marietta, Georgia. He was born in London, England, and raised in Austin, Texas. Dr. Lakhani earned his bachelor's degree from The University of Texas at Austin and graduated as the valedictorian from the Inter American University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry in 2014. During his studies, he received multiple clinical awards, including those for contact lens excellence and patient care, as well as achieving the highest scores on the ABS board exams within his class.12

Following his graduation, Dr. Lakhani completed a residency focused on ocular diseases at Omni Eye Services in Atlanta. His professional affiliations include serving as President of the Greater Atlanta Optometric Association and being board certified by the American Board of Optometry. He has been recognized with accolades such as Georgia's Young Optometrist of the Year in 2021.24

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Lakhani is committed to community service and has participated in charitable initiatives, including volunteering with the OneSight program to provide eye care services in Mexico. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring new cuisines with his wife and newborn son.123
