Rajesh Ramesh

Rajesh Ramesh is an Engineer and Business & Project Developer with 8 years of experience in the solar PV, wind energy, and energy storage sectors, specializing in consulting, research, design, engineering, and project operations & development.

He has a profound understanding of international Independent Power Producer (IPP) processes, policies, and procedures, having closed 180 MW of projects in emerging economies and currently working on developing over 500 MW across Africa and Central Asia.

Rajesh has significant experience and established relationships in his primary focus regions, notably the East Africa region covering Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda, and Burundi.

He is committed to continuous learning and remains updated on market trends related to solar PV, onshore wind, storage, and gas-to-power technologies.

Rajesh is open to exploring synergies and collaborations for originating, developing, co-owning, and operating multi-megawatt independent power projects in Africa, Asia, and the Middle East.

He strongly advocates for community and stakeholder involvement in project development to foster mutually beneficial long-term partnerships.

Rajesh has educational backgrounds from Abu Dhabi Indian School, Sherwood Academy, University of Nottingham where he pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree, and Anna University where he attained his Bachelor's degree.

Currently, Rajesh Ramesh holds the position of Manager - Business & Project Development at AMEA Power.
