Rahul Newar is a seasoned professional with over 14 years of experience in corporate and investment banking origination and execution. He currently works as a Credit Analyst in the coverage team for large corporate groups at Standard Chartered Bank. Newar has worked with various conglomerates across several sectors in India, including EPC, telecom, media, infrastructure, steel pipes, aviation, and renewables. He is experienced in different types of transactions, such as M&A, equities, bond, project finance, bridge solutions, term, structured funding, and working cap. Newar has extensive experience in the renewable/green/sustainable sector, having led several transactions for large players in India. He previously worked at Lehman Brothers/Nomura Investment Banking Division. Newar has a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and an MBA in Finance from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
