Rahim Flynn

Rahim Flynn is the General Manager of Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort & Spa and Hotel Jen Male in the Maldives. He has been with Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts since 2006, bringing over 20 years of extensive experience in hospitality management, with a strong focus on food and beverage, customer experience, and facility management.13

Flynn's career in the Maldives began in 2016, and he has held various leadership roles within the hotel industry. His appointment as General Manager at Shangri-La’s Villingili Resort was officially announced in November 2019.12 Under his leadership, the resort has faced significant challenges, including operational changes due to external circumstances, as evidenced by communications he issued regarding employee layoffs during temporary closures.45

In addition to his managerial responsibilities, Flynn is recognized for his commitment to enhancing guest experiences and maintaining high standards of service within the resorts he oversees.3
