Rafael Fonseca

Rafael Fonseca is a seasoned professional in the field of territorial management and geoprocessing (GIS) with over 20 years of experience. His focus has been on project management, negotiation, institutional articulation, territorial information, and environmental and rural policies. Rafael has extensive experience in executing and coordinating environmental impact studies and reports, biodiversity monitoring activities, environmental licensing, coordination of conservation unit management plans, proposal creation for protected areas, and systematic conservation planning.

As a teacher of higher education, Rafael has four years of experience in the field of Agronomy, Biological Sciences, and Geography. He has been responsible for courses such as Geoprocessing, Cartography, Digital Cartography, Photogrammetry, Geology, Geomorphology, Biogeography, Biodiversity Conservation, and Environmental Education.

Rafael has had eight years of experience in the non-profit sector, working with two non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and collaborating with major national and international environmental NGOs such as Biodiversitas, CI, FVA, IPÊ, SOS, SPVS, TNC, WCS, and WWF.

Rafael Fonseca has good relationships with various government institutions, private companies, and third-sector organizations that work in research and the environment. He enjoys working with innovation and developing new business opportunities. Currently, Rafael is a co-owner of Busca Terra.
