Public Ally 2012/2013 cohort

Developed , implemented and facilitated culturally sensitive and age appropriate programming and events for three of  Native American Connections affordable housing communities. Also, creating and maintaining partnerships with organizations, who specialized in providing specific types of programming. Other duties as assigned. 

Native American Connections

Resident Services Specialist

- Assisting homeless, abused, neglected and abandoned youth. Ages 25 and under with basic needs, resources, and problem-solving skills. 


- Working in various environments such as  Day Resource Centers, Schools, Group Homes, Shelters, Transitional Housing Facilities and in the client's own environment.


-  Partnering with Case Managers, volunteers, staff, Community Partners, and Clients Support systems to help clients realize potential and reach their own personal and professional goals.

Lead by provided training, guidance, and support to the team. Worked with management staff to develop programming, curriculum, and guidelines for multiple programs.


- Maintaining a safe and clean environment for staff and clients. 

- Other Occasional activities; Developed and facilitated groups, coordinated and facilitated events and programming, Developed and maintained relationships with community partners and volunteers. Trained Staff/ volunteers in varying different positions.  



Tumbleweed Center for Youth Development

Lead Youth Care Worker/ Outreach Worker

Working directly with teachers in class rooms for children ages 2-6 years old. Providing structured curriculum play education activities that are designed to fit the needs and interests of each individual child. In addition to addressing the students academic needs, Students work on conflict resolution and interpersonal relationship skills.
