Rachel Sumekh is the Founder & CEO of Swipe Out Hunger, a leading nonprofit tackling college student hunger, with recognition from The Obama White House and Forbes' 30 Under 30 list.
Rachel launched Swipe Out Hunger in 2010 at UCLA, expanding to 120+ universities providing 2 million meals through a unique approach of students donating excess meal plan funds.
Author of the Hunger Free Campus Act passed by California, Rachel has directed over $50 million to antihunger programs on campuses.
She holds a B.A. in History & Human Complex Systems from the University of California, Los Angeles, and is an active board member at IKAR with a diverse perspective shaped by her Iranian Jewish immigrant background.
