Rachel Ramey is an accomplished youth librarian and community outreach professional with extensive experience working with underprivileged communities. With a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington Information School and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and International Studies from Ohio Wesleyan University, Rachel has honed her skills in youth programming, collection development and planning, marketing, community partnerships, nonprofit organizations, event management, writing, and editing.
Rachel has worked as a Librarian at Scriber Lake High School, Temporary Children's Librarian at The Seattle Public Library, Senior Community Outreach Specialist at the City of Seattle, Communications Manager at Town Hall Seattle, and Portal to the Public Web Producer at Pacific Science Center. She was also a Communications Coordinator and Outreach Coordinator at American Red Cross Serving King & Kitsap Counties and AmeriCorps respectively, having started her career as a Production Assistant at NPR-WOSU's All Sides with Ann Fisher.
