Rachel Los
PhD student in theoretical biophysics at Technische Universiteit Delft
Rachel Los is a multi-talented person with a strong background in nanobiology, biophysics, and computational biology. She completed her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Erasmus University Rotterdam and Delft University of Technology. Rachel completed a Master's thesis project collaborating with research groups at Erasmus MC and TU Delft, where she investigated the binding affinity and nuclease activity of Cas9, both experimentally and computationally. Rachel has since developed a keen interest in combining biophysics and computational biology to tackle research questions in the field of nanobiology.
Additionally, Rachel has worked as a Teaching Assistant for Soft Matter Physics and Electronic Instrumentation and was a Product Engineer Intern at VSPARTICLE. She also performed the role of Commissioner of External Affairs at S.V.N.B. Hooke and volunteered on the Communications team at The Ocean Cleanup. Currently, Rachel serves as a PhD student in theoretical biophysics at Technische Universiteit Delft.
