She served as an Adjunct Senior Fellow in the Middle East Program at the Center for a New American Security (CNAS), Vice President at The Cohen Group, and Senior Policy Advisor at the U.S. House of Representatives. Rachel also made impactful contributions as the Director of the Scowcroft Center Middle East Security Initiative at the Atlantic Council and as the Director of the Levant Team at the Pentagon within the U.S. Department of Defense.

    Rachel's experience includes leadership positions such as Director of the Iraq Team and Action Officer for the Iraq & C-ISIS Team at the Pentagon. She has also worked as a Senior Program Officer at the Center for Middle East and Africa at the United States Institute of Peace, Tunisia Assistance Coordinator at the U.S. Department of State, and Middle East Program Specialist at the United States Institute of Peace. Rachel's diverse background also includes roles as a Teaching Assistant for Secretary Madeleine Albright at Georgetown University, a Research Intern at the Brookings Institution Saban Center for Middle East Policy, and a Fellow at the Transatlantic Institute.
