Head of School
Rachel Blumenfeld is the Head of School at Albert Einstein Academy in Wilmington, Delaware. Her educational journey began at Albert Einstein Academy itself, where she graduated in 1996. She then attended Akiba Hebrew Academy (now J.M. Barrack), followed by earning a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts from Sarah Lawrence College. Blumenfeld pursued a law degree at Villanova University School of Law, practicing as an attorney before transitioning to education. She obtained a Master of Fine Arts in Writing and Literature from Bennington College and earned her teaching certification through the University of Delaware.
In her role as Head of School, Blumenfeld emphasizes the importance of a strong academic program intertwined with Jewish culture and values. She has been involved in various strategic planning and improvement initiatives across multiple educational institutions over the past decade.
