Rachael Sherman

Rachael Sherman is the Executive Director of Global Sustainability at The Estée Lauder Companies Inc., a position she has held since April 2021. In this role, she is responsible for integrating sustainability into the company's business operations and strategies, focusing on climate change and sustainable practices across their brands. Before joining Estée Lauder, Sherman served as the Director of Global Sustainability at McDonald's from 2013 to 2021, where she led initiatives related to climate change and forest strategies, particularly in Asia and Latin America. Her career also includes various roles in sustainability and international affairs, with significant experience in China, where she worked on sustainable retail supply chains and environmental management.12

Sherman holds multiple degrees, including an MBA and a Master of Arts in International Affairs from The George Washington University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Asian Area Studies from the University of British Columbia. She is proficient in Chinese and has over a decade of experience in sustainability and environmental management.24
