Qiaodan Stone is a Lead hardware design engineer specializing in electronics, photonics, and optical sensing, with a diverse background in industrial research and mass-manufacturable consumer hardware.

With expertise in sensor module integration, system-level electronics design & test, data science, and superconducting detector & electronics design, Qiaodan Stone is known for being a passionate product feature champion with a data-driven approach to problem-solving.

Qiaodan Stone holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a perfect 5.0/5.0 GPA, as well as a Bachelor's degree in the same field with a 4.5/5.0 GPA, both from the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Having worked at esteemed organizations like Apple and PsiQuantum in roles such as Depth Module Design Lead, System Integration Lead for Electronics + Photonics, and Research and Development Engineer, Qiaodan Stone has also contributed as a Teaching Assistant at MIT and has interned at NASA Glenn Research Center.

Previous roles include work as a Sensing Hardware / Wearable Systems Electrical Engineer at Apple, a Platform Architecture Intern at Apple, a Researcher at MIT Media Lab, and a member of the MIT satellite team (CASTOR).
