Pulkit Shamshery

Pulkit Shamshery is an MBA graduate from MIT Sloan School of Management, completing his degree between September 2019 and June 2021.3 During his time at MIT, he was selected as a fellow for the Legatum Center's 2019-20 fellowship class.1

Professional Experience

After graduating from MIT Sloan, Pulkit has held several positions:

• Lead Program Manager at Rivian, his current role3
• Director of New Business Development at Freight Farms (July 2021 - November 2021)3
• Director of Illumina Africa Limited, a venture focused on delivering solar PV and clean water solutions5

Entrepreneurial Ventures

As part of the Legatum Center fellowship, Pulkit developed a venture called Illumina Africa. This project aims to use solar mini-grids to provide access to water, cold storage, and electricity in underdeveloped communities in Kenya.1

Research and Publications

Pulkit has also been involved in academic research. He has contributed to a study on "Modeling the future of irrigation: A parametric description of pressure compensating drip irrigation emitter performance," published in PLOS ONE.4
