Professor Tapas Mallick is an accomplished academic professional with a rich background in higher education, specializing in Research and Development, Physics, Renewable Energy, Science, Solar Energy Engineering, and Materials Science.

With a track record of supervising 25 PhD students and contributing to over 350 publications in peer-reviewed journals and national/international conferences, Professor Mallick currently leads a team of 24 researchers.

His expertise lies in bridging the energy gap between urban and rural areas through the innovation and implementation of comprehensive renewable energy solutions, particularly in the realm of Energy Positive Buildings with a vision towards a Net Zero World.

His ambitious mission is focused on achieving 100% solar energy utilization within the next three decades.

Professionally, he holds the position of Professor and Chair in Clean Technologies at the University of Exeter, where he continues to drive impactful research and education in the field.

Moreover, he has held significant roles in prestigious organizations such as being a Co-founder and Chief Scientific Officer at BuildSolar limited, an Adjunct Professor in Mechanical Engineering at the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, and contributing as an Academic Lead at the University of Exeter.

Previously, he has served as a Senior Lecturer and Lecturer in Renewable Energy at Heriot-Watt University, showcasing his diverse and extensive experience in academia.
