Preet Aneja
Molecular Biologist, Independent Scholar, Adjunct Faculty
Preet Aneja is a pioneering researcher known for groundbreaking discoveries in molecular biology and gene editing. With a PhD in Biology/Molecular Biology from St. John's University, NY, and an M.S. in Recombinant DNA Technology from NYU, Preet has a strong educational background in the field. Preet has demonstrated exceptional skills in molecular biology techniques by being the first to discover the promoter for rat liver mitochondrial glycerol-3-phosphate acyltransferase and showing the presence of carbohydrate response element binding protein on GPAT promoter through supershift assay. Preet is proficient in gene editing technologies, having experience in TALENS synthesis for zebrafish and utilizing CRISPR-Cas in zebrafish and various mammalian cells. Preet's research also includes purifying NDH-2 and different types of NDH2s from Mycobacteria, human TRAF-6, and KSHV RTA. Additionally, Preet has expertise in designing universal primers. Preet has worked at the School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and has previously served as a Molecular Biologist in the USA.
