Pratim Niyogi
Graduate Teaching Assistant at Michigan State University
Pratim Guha Niyogi is a researcher in statistics who has served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Michigan State University (MSU). He completed his Ph.D. in Statistics at MSU, focusing on statistical methodologies for functional data analysis with applications in neuroimaging studies.2 During his time at MSU, he taught various courses, including STT 200: Statistical Methods and STT 180: Introduction to Data Science, among others.1
Currently, Pratim is a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Biostatistics at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. His research interests include functional data analysis, distributional data analysis, high-dimensional statistical methods, and nonparametric techniques, particularly in the context of health sciences such as neuroimaging and digital health technologies.23
Pratim's academic journey began with a Bachelor of Science with Honors from Presidency University in Kolkata and a Master of Statistics from the Indian Statistical Institute.2 Throughout his career, he has been involved in various research projects and collaborations, contributing to publications on topics like survival data analysis and neuroimaging data.3
