Prateek Alsi, Partner at General Catalyst

Prateek Alsi is a seasoned venture capitalist with over two decades of experience in the technology industry. He currently serves as a General Partner and Co-Head of Venture at Tribe Capital, a position he has held since March 2023.1

Prior to his current role, Alsi worked at Village Global as a Partner from October 2021 to March 2023.1 Before that, he was a Partner at General Catalyst from August 2013 to July 2018, where he focused on early-stage investments in SMB SaaS, Fintech, and Consumer sectors.12 During his time at General Catalyst, he played a significant role in the success of companies like Stripe, Gusto, Fundbox, and Giphy.1

Alsi gained valuable experience in the technology sector as the Director of Partnerships at Square (now Block) from May 2012 to August 2013.1 In this role, he managed a team responsible for distribution, user growth partnerships, and strategic planning for Square's products, and led the launch and scaling of Square's bundled hardware product offering.1

Earlier in his career, Alsi held leadership positions in business development at Time Warner Cable from March 2003 to April 2012 and worked as a Product Manager at AOL from May 2000 to February 2003.15
