Prasad (Pram) Ram is the Founder and CEO of Gooru, a non-profit organization focused on educational technology. Pram Ram has a robust background in technology and engineering. He holds a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, and both an M.S. and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA. Before founding Gooru in 2011, he held significant positions at major tech companies:

• Director of Research at Google (2009-2011), where he led initiatives for Google Books for Education and developed technologies for educational applications.
• Center Head and Director of Engineering at Google (2006-2010), where he managed projects related to Google Maps and language technologies.
• CTO at Yahoo (2004-2006), overseeing the development of media platforms.
• CTO at Dynamx Technology, Inc. (2000-2004), focusing on enterprise data solutions for media companies.
• Scientist/Engineer at Xerox Research (1994-2000), where he invented Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology.12
