Prakriti Parijat is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in user experience design and research methodologies.

Her expertise spans various areas such as usability testing, contextual inquiry, user interface design, and lab-controlled experimental studies.

She has been actively involved in persona building, task analyses, rapid prototyping, focus groups, field studies, quantitative and qualitative data analyses, as well as product and design ideation.

With a strong academic background, Prakriti holds degrees in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Biomedical Instrumentation Engineering, Ph.D. in Human Factors and Ergonomics, and Biomedical Engineering and Sciences with a specialization in biomechanics.

Prakriti has contributed significantly to the academic community through authoring peer-reviewed journal papers and presenting in numerous international conferences.

In addition to her research roles, she has dedicated her expertise to training by teaching at the postgraduate level, conducting workshops, seminars, and certification programs in the field of user experience and research methodologies.

Currently, Prakriti serves as the Director of Research at Instacart, where she leads the Shopper & Fulfillment Tech initiatives.

Her previous roles include Senior Research Manager and Product Design Manager at Instacart, VP- Head of UX Research & Insights, and Senior UX Researcher at DBS Bank, Senior UX Consultant at PebbleRoad Pte Ltd and Human Factors International, Research Scholar at Virginia Tech, Consultant Ergonomist & Human Factors Specialist at RECOUP Neuromusculoskeletal Rehabilitation Centre, Graduate Research Assistant at Virginia Tech, and Biomedical Engineering Intern at GE Medical Systems.
