Praise Erianamie
Engineering Student - Community Advocate - Innovator at The Knowledge Society - Life-Long Learner
Praise Erianamie is a young innovator and engineering student with a passion for technology and empowering underrepresented groups in STEM. She graduated from Richview Collegiate Institute and is now pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Engineering at the University of Toronto.1 As an innovator at The Knowledge Society (TKS), Praise focuses on enhancing her knowledge of technology, particularly in areas such as augmented reality, virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things.1
During her high school years, Praise demonstrated leadership by hosting her school's Black History Month assembly and creating an extensive resource page for students and teachers.1 She has expressed a strong desire to contribute to her community by empowering and introducing girls, especially those of color, to the possibilities of STEM careers.1
Praise has also gained practical experience in the tech industry. She has worked as a Software Development Engineer Intern at Amazon2, which aligns with her interests in computer science and technology. In 2021, she was awarded the Amazon Future Engineer scholarship, receiving $30,000 to support her university education.1
Beyond her academic and professional pursuits, Praise enjoys music, playing the piano, singing, and learning dances.1 She aims to combine her technical skills with her passion for social impact, aspiring to create innovative technology that assists people with disabilities.1
