Prabhakar Vemavarapu

Prabhakar Vemavarapu is a Virtual Reality researcher with over 8 years of experience in VR research and development for scientific data visualization, training, and visual analytics. He has conducted human factors experiments for over 6 years, focusing on user evaluation studies for VR interaction techniques and interfaces. With 7+ years of experience in C++ development, Prabhakar specializes in 3D touch interactions, creating innovative 3D interactions using touch-based mobile phones and controllers. His expertise also includes data visualization, where he has developed algorithms for dense graph visualization and biosensor data.

Prabhakar pursued his education at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, obtaining a PhD in HCI, Computer Graphics, and Virtual Reality, an M.S. in Computer Science, and a B.Tech in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. He has held various roles in esteemed organizations, working as a Virtual Reality Software Engineer at REACT Neuro and serving as a Research Assistant and Teaching Assistant at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Prabhakar has also contributed to research projects at Informatics Research Institute - UL Lafayette and Wipro Technologies as an intern.
