She is a proud alumna of APS College, where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree with flying colors. Moreover, she was awarded the first rank for her exceptional performance in Kannada literature during her M.A. program at Central College.

Poornima has honed her skills as an editor, working as an Assistant Editor at Prajavani, The Printers (Mysore) Pvt Ltd. She has a penchant for writing, and her systematic approach to editing has made her an asset to the organization. Her experience has helped her develop an outstanding ability to scour through texts, seeking out typos, mistakes, and incoherent sentences.

Away from the office, Poornima is an ardent learner and regularly reads up on current events. She has a deep interest in various cultural activities and is an active member of a literary club in her city.
