Pooja Sabharwal is a seasoned communications professional with almost two years of experience in both agency and corporate settings.

Having served as the Head of Communications at PayPal in Mumbai, she was instrumental in elevating PayPal's image as a technology powerhouse rather than just a payments company.

Pooja focused on showcasing PayPal's technology narrative supported by its technology centers in Chennai, Bangalore, and Hyderabad, emphasizing on AI, ML, cloud technologies, and providing a secure payment experience for merchants and consumers.

In her role, Pooja prioritized themes like diversity, inclusion, innovation, and workplace culture to position PayPal as a leader in the tech sector and foster a sustainable digital ecosystem.

She collaborates closely with cross-functional teams including government relations, marketing, legal, and HR to drive the company's narrative on risk, security, and safer payment ecosystems.

Pooja manages both external and internal communications for PayPal in India, aligning closely with the global team in San Jose on risk management, content creation, and global initiatives.

Her role was expanded to oversee thought leadership for the Head of International Markets, allowing her to engage with APAC markets and international media beyond India.

She also leads content development for APAC and manages the newsrooms for PayPal in India and the APAC region.

Pooja's background includes a tenure as VP Communications at Dream Sports and as a Partner at Genesis BM.

She is an alumna of Welham Girls High School.
