We’ve created a three-sided marketplace that allows women to participate as a buyer, seller or entrepreneur, running their own boutique. As a new startup, we have to move fast and adapt quickly to respond to customer needs and market trends. My project management, strategic planning and operational skills have allowed me to tackle multiple priorities and solve problems creatively, to ensure the business keep its momentum. My strong interpersonal skills and ability to achieve goals by negotiation and coordination has enabled our venture to secure support and space at the University Entrepreneurship incubator.

After serving as Vice-Chair for a leading Young Professional’s Business Organization, and lead for a Mastermind-type group, I saw a need for an alternative type of event and program for young professionals. I created, marketed and launched a quarterly event series to connect people on their personal ambitions rather than just their professional title, and convened groups up 60 to celebrate the power of diversity. The interactive structure was designed to facilitate meaningful new connections and experiences. Some notable speakers from diverse backgrounds that I invited included: an NHL Pro, Bachelorette contestant and Cancer Thriver.

Created the Corporate Relations Industry Engagement Portal from the ground-up.

Member of the Innovation UBC team, providing leadership and support for university-wide strategic innovation initiatives including large corporate partnerships and broad engagement with industry consortiums and regional partners. Collaborated with multiple senior stakeholders both internally and externally to create mutually beneficial partnerships. Launched the first Innovation Hub in Downtown Vancouver and involved in every aspect from planning and development, business operations, leadership alignment, marketing and public relations and bringing in stakeholders for co-creation.
