Pmp® Saumitra Chakraborty is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the renewable energy and thermal electricity generation sector, having worked in multiple countries.

Currently serving as the CEO at MISUN Energy Private Limited, a Mumbai-based company specializing in turnkey solar energy projects and solutions, Mr. Chakraborty's expertise spans off-grid, on-grid, floating solar PV, solar water heating, and project consulting.

With a background in Electrical Engineering and holding certifications such as PMP and being an INSEAD Alumnus, he has previously collaborated with renowned global companies like Schneider Electric, Areva T&D, and ABB on various electrical products and turnkey projects.

His career highlights include successfully managing large-scale power infrastructure projects for private and state-owned clients, often with funding from prestigious multilateral agencies like the World Bank, ADB, and AfDB, contributing to positive socio-economic impacts.

Mr. Chakraborty's expertise spans various areas including general management, project management, business operations, solar and floating solar projects, EHV substations, partnerships, project design & engineering, project development, supply chain management, and contract administration.

Educationally, he has completed a PMP course from the Project Management Institute USA, a General Management and Leadership Programme from INSEAD, and a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) from the National Institute of Technology Agartala.
