10,000 PB&Js is a volunteer led hunger outreach that focuses on feeding NYC's homeless residents. The meals we prepare and distribute to our neighbors are a starting point, a means to begin a conversation, to listen and learn while laying the foundation of trust necessary to offer more substantive help.

I work to shape an organizational culture that rejects society's resignation, seeing beyond the depravity of individual's circumstances in the hopes that our volunteers and the neighbors they serve might seek their fullest potential.

I believe all individuals want to live a life that reflects the values they esteem. When we provide folks structured opportunities to be kind, compassionate and generous they enthusiastically accept those opportunities.

I believe that poor people don't deserve poor solutions and our most compelling answers to difficult questions are designed with audacious ambition through an empathetic, data driven lens. I'm currently responsible for strategic direction and growth while building leadership around core disciplines.

NYHR mobilized and helped deploy hundreds of volunteers who completed millions of dollars of demolition and property rehabilitation in the wake of Super Storm Sandy. Our volunteers were there before the storm and remained long after the media and other organizations had departed. 

During a period when communication was a major impediment to connecting those in crisis with available relief resources from larger, more established organizations our leadership team focused on organizing volunteers and their resources around the needs of specific families and their homes. Over the course of the year this work taught me a great deal that I later applied to my next endeavor, 10,000 PB&Js. Our proximity to the problems we hope to solve inform our ability to address them effectively.

Since opening in the summer of 1978 Patrick's Pub has been a valued member of the White Plains community. Thousands upon thousands of friendships & hundreds of marriages owe their start to this friendly neighborhood pub.

Now a second generation family business, we offer a comfortable atmosphere for friends to enjoy each other's company.
