A couple things we have in the works include a restaurant pop-up concept, a short film about diamonds, a laughing club inspired public installation and a dating app based on microbiome compatibility!

- Freelance) At BlueJay I managed an extensive user research campaign, involving first person interviews, focus groups and ethnography studies with patients and physical therapists, in order to develop a true empathy for our users. On the patient side, we learned that there is a great deal of frustration around the lack of patient progress metrics. Patients want to see results of their hard work and need it to stay motivated to complete their exercises on the road to recovery. On the other hand, therapists expressed the need for increased visibility around patient activity outside of the office, since this is where the bulk of physiological improvement occurs. If a patient is either not completing his exercises or doing them incorrectly, the therapist should be able to intervene before the next visit, ensuring continual patient progress. Based on these key findings and others, our team created MyHealthLounge, a mobile application to 1) help patients complete their at-home exercises accurately, 2) keep patients and therapists connected remotely and 3) allow all stakeholders to keep track of patient progress. App feedback was overwhelmingly positive and the BlueJay user base continues to grow.

- Established a curriculum to pilot the accelerator’s first usability program using lean startup principles to help startups gather and prioritize customer feedback for product development
- Improved the user flow for an app to manage prenatal care resulting in a 50% increase in click-thru rate and 30% increase in time engaged
- Led A/B testing for an app that gives patients a voice to communicate with their healthcare providers
- Developed a marketing strategy to acquire new sponsors, used to raise over $2.5M in sponsorships in the past 8 months and increase community engagement by 30%, strengthening the MassChallenge brand

Applied a hybrid of quantitative and qualitative methods to solving business problems, including financial models, surveys, interview guides, synthesis of findings, proposal writing and focus groups

-  Sample Case Study 1: Organized and conducted robotic surgeon focus groups and online surveys to 1) understand and quantify the level of anticipated robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) adoption across surgical applications and 2) prioritize user-defined attributes for a successful RAS product concept

Extracurricular Inspire Case: I managed a team of five Associates to help our client understand various financing options available during each stage of clinical development for a novel gene therapy for Tay-Sachs and develop a revenue projection to be presented to investors along with a business plan.
