Pieter Kinds is the CEO of Freightender, a cloud-based freight tendering company.14 He has over 20 years of experience in the logistics and freight industry.2 Kinds rebranded his company from Tendertool to Freightender in February 2020.1 Under his leadership, Freightender has grown significantly, increasing its workforce from 5 to 12 employees in 2020 despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic.1
Kinds is passionate about digitalization in the logistics sector. He has been working on developing new platforms and functionalities, including TendrX, which was set to launch in December 2020.1 He has also participated in industry events, such as the TPM21 panel organized by JOC, where he spoke about using a data-based approach to freight procurement.3
Prior to his role at Freightender, Kinds had experience with companies such as TendrX and Interlog Group.6 He received his education at the Maastricht School for Translation & Interpreting.25
