Phillip Lee is an experienced finance executive who has spent over 20 years working on three continents and in 15 countries. He has held various roles in international CFO, corporate development, and M&A positions, and has experience in US GAAP, IFRS, and financial reporting in multiple languages. He has successfully led expansion and add-on acquisition strategies that drove profitable growth and improved performance. Phillip has also cleaned up finance functions of PE funds' new acquisitions and implemented financial controls, processes, and accounting systems to prepare them to scale.
Phillip has a comprehensive array of specialties, including acquisition integration, business development, cross-border M&A, emerging markets, international tax, investor relations, joint ventures, private equity, risk management, strategic planning, and valuation, among others. He obtained his MBA in Finance & International Business from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business and graduated from Fundação Getulio Vargas with a degree in Controladoria and Balanced Scorecard.
Currently, Phillip serves as the SVP of Global Corporate Development & Strategic Partnerships for Phillips & Cohen Associates, Ltd. Previously, he held executive positions in companies such as The Estate Registry, Prepona, Ping Pong Brazil, Clairfield International, GTS, and CET. He also served on the board of International Technology, Restructuring, IFRS, and US GAAP at Newsmatics, was the chair of Cross-Border Partnering - Economic Development at Atlanta - Rio Sister Cities Committee, and was the vice president of Corporate Development & Strategy at Global Telesystems.
