Philippe Lattes is a highly experienced professional with 32 years in the space industry specializing in earth observation and science domains, holding roles such as team manager and expert in future programs.
For 11 years, Philippe served as the Deputy Director for Space within Aerospace Valley, a prominent European Aerospace cluster based in Toulouse, where he spearheaded the development of tools to support innovation from ideation to commercialization for SMEs in the space sector. He also led the creation of various EU projects, acted as a National Contact Point for space, and established the first French space incubator: Esa bic Sud France.
In addition to his impactful contributions to the space industry, Philippe Lattes has cultivated an international background, involving international training, expertise and support for space activities in various countries, and the establishment of innovation ecosystems outside the EU.
Philippe's educational journey includes studying Baccalauréat at lycée de l'esplanade, Diplôme d'ingénieur in Informatique at ENSEIRB-MATMECA, and Classe préparatoires at Lycée Pierre De Fermat.
Throughout his career, Philippe held key positions in prestigious organizations, including roles such as Chargé de mission Espace et formation continue at ENSEIRB-MATMECA, Expert Espace at Expertise France, Space expert in the INTPA project at the European Commission, CEO at CYMOON, Co-founder at twelve Whisky and Kapitech, Deputy Director for Space and Innovation Manager for space activities at Aerospace Valley, AIT Chief engineer, and Head of AIT management department at EADS Astrium, as well as roles at Matra Marconi Space and Centre de recherche Paul pascal during his PhD.
