Dr. Philippa Jane Benson, a Ph.D. holder and the Principal of PJB Global Consulting, is a seasoned professional in the STM publishing industry.

With a rich background in supporting various stakeholders like publishers, authors, readers, professional societies, and more, Philippa specializes in formulating and executing effective strategies for global science communication.

Having played crucial roles in prestigious organizations such as CABI, Science magazine, The Wildlife Society, Conservation International, she has extensive experience in coordinating editorial, education, marketing, and web-related activities.

Philippa's educational journey includes a Ph.D. in Rhetoric from Carnegie Mellon University, a Master's in Professional Writing/Information Design also from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor's in Geology and English from Oberlin College.

Currently serving as the Managing Editor of CABI Agriculture & Bioscience and supporting AgriRxiv at CABI, Philippa's expertise and contributions to the field of science publishing and communication are highly recognized.

Her past roles as the Managing Editor at AAAS, Director at The Charlesworth Group, and positions at esteemed institutions like University of Pittsburgh and Carnegie Mellon University, further underline her profound experience and dedication to advancing science communication.
