Philip Terry

Philip Terry is a versatile and talented writer, translator, and editor with a wealth of experience in academia and the literary world. He has published numerous books of poetry, and his translations and critical works have earned him a reputation as a leading scholar of French literary modernism. Terry is a Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Essex, where he teaches on the MA course in Creative Writing, and is the Director of the Centre for Creative Writing. He is also the co-founder and editor of the experimental press Reality Street, which has published some of the most groundbreaking and innovative works of contemporary poetry.
Throughout his career, Terry has demonstrated a deep commitment to fostering creativity and supporting emerging writers. He has presented lectures and workshops at universities and cultural institutions all over the world, and has mentored countless young writers, helping them to develop their skills and find their voice. His work has been recognized with numerous awards and accolades, including the Hermann Hesse Translation Prize and the TLS/Risa Domb/Porjes Prize for Best First Collection.
