Philip Sheldrake

Philip Sheldrake is a seasoned technologist, Chartered Engineer, and Web Science researcher with a wealth of experience and expertise in digital innovation, process engineering, systems thinking, marketing and communications, and organizational design. He is a founder of Open Farming, an embryonic platform cooperative, and a co-founder of the Digital Life Collective, a global cooperative of volunteer members. He consults to the AKASHA Foundation and is a member of the Ceramic Ecosystem Alliance. He architected the hi to support the development of a more human-centric web, and it received the endorsement of the Web Science Trust. He has chaired events and spoken with tech industry leaders like Vint Cerf and Sir Tim Berners-Lee. He wrote 'The Business of Influence – Transforming Marketing and PR for the Digital Age' (Wiley, 2011, reprinted 2012), and an ebook, 'Attenzi - a social business story', in association with Social Media Today. Sheldrake's education includes a BEng in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Nottingham, a Ph.D. in Web and Internet Science from the University of Southampton, and certification in Warm Data Lab Host from The International Bateson Institute. He is also a Professional Chartered Engineer from the Engineering Council and partially completed an MSc in Engineering/Industrial Management at The Institution of Engineering and Technology.
