Philip Mertens

Philip Mertens is a highly educated and accomplished business professional with extensive experience in financial management and innovation entrepreneurship. He holds a Master of Science (MSc) degree from KU Leuven in Business Studies with a focus on Financial Management, and has also completed an exchange program at IAE Montpellier in France. Additionally, he holds a Master's degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship from Antwerp Management School.

Mertens is well versed in the world of venture capitalism and has held several key positions in the industry. Currently, he is an Associate at DSM Venturing, a venture capital arm of DSM, a multinational corporation specializing in health, nutrition, and materials. Prior to this, he served as the Chief Financial Officer for DSM PPE+ at DSM Venturing. He has also held esteemed positions with Miach Orthopaedics, Inc. as a Board Observer and with ATRO Medical BV as a Board Member.
