Phil Bennett

Phil Bennett has been dedicated to the NHS for the past 22 years, starting from the operations side handling tasks such as picking, packing, receipts, offloading vehicles, and checking stock.

For four years, Phil took on the responsibility of training both existing and new staff in checking goods upon arrival for quality and accuracy, while actively participating in maintaining health and safety standards within warehouse operations.

His commitment led to him being recognized as the Health and Safety officer for the Unison Branch at the depot, where he invested significant time in training, studying laws, and addressing concerns like Kinetic lifting and manual handling.

Phil also contributed to updating and standardizing operational procedures across all 7 depots, showcasing his leadership and attention to detail.

In the past 3 years, Phil transitioned to the Inventory department, excelling as a stock controller.

Within this role, he thrived in establishing and nurturing strong relationships with multiple supplying companies by proactively communicating with suppliers and ensuring efficient stock management.
