P.Geo. Curtis Riou

P.Geo. Curtis Riou is a highly skilled Professional Geoscientist with a wealth of experience in the environmental industry since 1998. His expertise includes environmental mitigation, soil, water, and air sampling techniques, and project management for oil and gas projects on government-owned lands in sensitive environments.
Throughout his career, Mr. Riou has led numerous projects involving Phase I, II, and III Environmental Protection Plans, Project Proposals, Restoration Plans, pre-disturbance, and reclamation studies. He also possesses a deep understanding of governmental policies in Saskatchewan, gained during his tenure with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment at Greenwater Lake Provincial Park, where he was involved in educational programs for stakeholders on integrated resources management practices.
In addition to his work in Saskatchewan, Mr. Riou has served as a Soil and Terrain Specialist on a Pipeline Inspection Team in the Northeast United States. His responsibilities included conducting terrain surveys and inspections to identify areas susceptible to stress corrosion cracking in natural gas transmission lines. He has also contributed to the development of an integrated water management strategy for Saskatchewan as part of an advisor committee of engineers from the University of Saskatchewan for Sask Water.
Currently, P.Geo. Curtis Riou holds the position of President - Professional Geoscientist at X-Terra Environmental Services Ltd. His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Environmental Earth Science from the University of Saskatchewan.
