Peyton Capute

Peyton Capute is a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Western Weather and Water Extremes (CW3E) at UC San Diego's Scripps Institution of Oceanography.14 She recently joined CW3E in August 2024.2

Prior to her current position, Capute was a Ph.D. student in Atmospheric Science at the University at Albany, SUNY, where she worked as a Graduate Research Assistant.5 Her research focuses on atmospheric science, particularly in areas related to weather and climate extremes.
