Petr Gapko
Petr Gapko is a highly experienced Chief Economist and Senior Risk Manager with a background in both business and academia. Currently, he leads a team of skilled professionals at a Czech universal bank, where he is responsible for macroeconomic research, credit risk models, and loan loss allowances, among other areas. Petr has published several scientific articles on credit risk quantification and natural gas markets, and holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a Master's degree in Economics from Charles University in Prague. Prior to his current role, Petr served as a Chief Economist and Risk Manager in enterprise risk management, and as a Macroeconomic and Risk Analyst at GE Money Bank. He also worked as a Sales Manager at Brokerjet Ceske sporitelny, a.s. Overall, Petr's expertise in economics and risk management continues to make a substantial impact on the banking industry.
