Peter Watson is a data science enthusiast with a strong focus on understanding the impacts of natural hazards.
He holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Environmental Engineering and a Master of Science (MS) in Environmental Engineering from the University of Connecticut, where he also completed his BA in Environmental Studies.
Peter has a diverse background in information systems, geospatial data, weather hazards, machine learning, and programming, which he leverages to develop data-driven tools for future hazard mitigation.
Currently, he serves as the Chief Technical Officer at Whether, Inc. Prior to this role, he worked as a Doctoral Student Researcher at Los Alamos National Laboratory and held positions as a Graduate Assistant, Trainer, and Assistant Language Teacher at various institutions.
Peter's goal is to utilize his expertise in data science and environmental engineering to address and manage hazards effectively.
