Peter Verkoulen

Peter Verkoulen is a seasoned professional with 25 years of experience at the intersection of content, commerce, development, and management in the ICT sector.

Currently, Peter serves as an ecosystem builder, business developer, interim manager, writer, speaker, and moderator through his own company, Petros Business Development BV.

Since September 2019, he has been the coalition manager of the Dutch Blockchain Coalition, leading initiatives in blockchain technology.

Previously, Peter held the position of CEO at the Brightlands Smart Services Campus for over 4 years, where he cultivated an ecosystem of large corporations, SMEs, startups, students, and researchers focused on innovation in digital transformation.

His expertise lies in areas such as blockchain and artificial intelligence within the BSSC.

Before that role, he worked extensively on significant outsourcing projects in various capacities including content, commercial, and leadership roles.

Peter's academic background includes a degree in Computer Science with a minor in Business Management from TU Eindhoven, a Ph.D. in Information Systems Design from the same university, and research positions at universities in Eindhoven, Twente, and Maastricht.

Throughout his career, Peter has held key positions in several distinguished organizations such as TNO, Dutch Blockchain Coalition, Universiteit Maastricht, Atos Benelux & The Nordics, EquaTerra, and more, showcasing his diverse skill set and multifaceted experience in the industry.
