Peter Sandin

Peter Sandin is a hydrogeologist who works for the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) in the Waste Management Division. He currently holds the position of Supervisor for the Department of Defense (DoD) Sites Section, a role he has occupied since May 2019.2 Prior to this, from May 2014, he served as a Hydrogeologist in the Department of Defense Sites section of NHDES.2
In his current role, Sandin is responsible for overseeing the regulatory and technical aspects of contaminated sites and munitions sites associated with the Department of Defense. His work involves ensuring compliance with the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) and New Hampshire's environmental regulations.1

- Writing and presenting agency reports on hydrogeologic studies to various stakeholders.
- Collaborating on technical investigation work plans and ensuring their high technical competence.
- Providing expert technical testimony for legal enforcement actions related to groundwater contamination.1
