I led and managed cross-functional teams to develop and launch new digital products and transformation programmes for a wide variety of clients. I was responsible for the success of the entire innovation process from opportunity exploration, hypothesis definition, customer-focused concept development and prototyping of new propositions and customer journeys through to MVP development, launch, and product management.

I advised and built relationships with senior clients on both product development process and strategy, and on the organisational change (e.g. new teams, skills and culture) required to ensure that new digital products and services thrive in non-technology companies. I was also responsible for ensuring the products Made by Many develops delivered on clients’ business objectives, and worked with them to develop, refine and analyse business plans, models and KPIs in parallel with product development.

I was responsible for social media strategy, social web product, and social media marketing and communications for the Expedia Worldwide division across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Senior Marketing Manager and Head of Social Media, EMEA

Reporting to the Head of Global Communications, I built and managed Skypeʼs social media marketing, communications and community strategy, along with a global network of social media agencies to deliver corporate, product and crisis social media communications capabilities in 12 languages.

I expanded Skypeʼs reach and influence on the social web in order to enlarge directly addressable communications and marketing audiences and grow brand awareness, recognition and acquisition, as well as contributing substantially to Skype’s corporate communications function.

This included a role as a key corporate media spokesperson as well as communications strategy and narrative development, crisis communications and financial communications during an intensive period of two S-1 filings and subsequent acquisitions by Silver Lake and Microsoft.

Prior to joining Skype, I was the founding employee at We Are Social, where I managed the Skype account. I was responsible for bringing Skype on to Facebook and Twitter, and developing a strategic approach to social media for the company.
